Why Isn't My Review Published Yet?

If you submitted a review and haven't seen it go live, it's likely because it doesn't yet meet one or more of our review guidelines. This article explains why those guidelines exist and what you can do to get your review published.

We Welcome Honest Reviews — Positive and Negative

Our review guidelines are not intended to suppress negative feedback or protect businesses from criticism. We welcome both positive and negative reviews, as long as they follow our review policy. We know that honest reviews — especially critical ones — help other families make informed decisions and give businesses valuable feedback they can act on.

Why We Ask You to Contact the Business First

If you were not the participant in the activity (for example, if you're reviewing on behalf of your child), our guidelines require you to contact the business with any concerns before writing a review.

We ask for this step because it opens a direct line of communication between you and the business. This often results in a more complete review once published — one that reflects both your experience and how the business chose to respond. It also gives you the chance to learn more about the situation directly from the adults who were present with your child.

We believe this approach is in the best interest of families, and it gives businesses a fair opportunity to understand and address the concern.

This is not a way to filter out unfavorable reviews. If, after contacting the business, your concern is unresolved, your negative review can absolutely be published.

What Your Review Needs to Include

To be published, your review must meet the following requirements:

  • Contact the business first. If you weren't the participant, reach out to the business about your concerns before submitting your review.
  • Include your child's age. This gives other families helpful context for comparison.
  • Include the session location. Many businesses operate at multiple sites, so this helps other families know exactly which location your review refers to.
  • Avoid broad generalizations. Reviews should reflect your own specific experience rather than sweeping statements.
  • Be between 50 and 1,000 characters (including spaces).
  • Come from a verified buyer. Reviews are only published from users who booked the activity through ActivityHero.
Next Steps to Get Your Review Published
  1. Make sure your review meets all our submission guidelines.
  2. Resubmit your review noting any required updates, and our team will review it for publication.

Please allow 3–5 business days for your review to be processed once submitted.
